Shaykh Umar Vadillo at Sulu Sultanate 2012 Maulid Celebration

Preface : Allah is great. From Andalus (Spain) the former kafir colonialist of Phillipines, came another fighter/helper (Sh.Umar from Basque, Spain) with iman, islam and ihsan to fully revive the Deen of Allah in the Nusantara again. From the small, remotest islands...the light will spread.

JOLO, SULU DARUL ISLAM - 18 Rabbiyul Awal 1433 /11 February 2012 – Today, the Tausug Citizens are celebrating the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (saw) called “PagMaulud or Maulidur Rasul”. The event is currently held at Capitol Hills.

The event is also jointly celebrated with the reintroduction of the ancient currency of Sulu Archipelago under the Sulu Sultanate as part of world’s Dar Al-Islam. This even has been practice by the Tausug since the dawn of Islam in Sulu Archipelago.

The PagMaulud event has been widely disseminated in the entire Sulu Archipelago most particularly in the State of Jolo Island, after Puntukan Mantiri or Prime Minister Datu Habib Sattiya Amilhassan and the State of Jolo Island Minister cum Minister General on Economic Planning and Development Datu Hadji Julmari bin Waning roaming around Sulu Archipelago.

Tausug Citizens

The Tausug Citizens are with their high hopes that peace and development would be realized as the Sultaniyah Sulu Darul Islam de a facto government will begin to use Dinar and Dirham as country’s currency. This currency was known collectively called as PILAK, regardless of Gold Dinar is known as Dublun and Silver Dirham as Pilak.

Despite of the current tumult, The Tausug citizens are remained intact and continuously condemning any form of violence. The event started at 6:30 in the morning until evening, as it was opened with the parade from the Astana of Sultan Bantilan Muizzuddin II to the Capitol Hills.

When interviewed Sultan Bantilan Muhammad Muizzuddin II is very much thankful to the arrival of the foreign guests that the celebration of Maulidur Rasul is the month of the reintroduction of the ancient currency in Sulu Archipelago:

“I am grateful to the foreign visitors here today, it is not just that they are bringing the light to our country but a hope to every Tausug to keep their pledge to uphold the sanctity of their pride being Muslim led by Prophet Muhammad (saw). I cannot hold to my tears when our ancient currency, Pilak is now being used again in our little island-country.

“Thank you to Datu Shaykh Dr. Prof Umar Ibrahim Vadillo and other foreign guests. They are right now a Tausug as they have step-off their feet and have gulped the water in the Sulu Darul Islam, the country of where neither ethnic and nor religious boundaries are found but with the set of rules.”

“Thank you also that the Philippines is gradually withdrawing their de facto rule here as the Tausug Citizens are also welcome the diplomatic relationship with them after having asked them to withdraw from the territory of our country, SSDI. The Filipinos could either be remained as Filipino Citizen or become Tausug Citizens, but they are welcome with the set of rules.”

La hawlawala quwata ilabilLah. Power belongs to Allah swt. There is no power except by Him.
Reason is a prison. To submit to Allah swt is not by saying, 'I do what I can.' That is submission to yourself.

Submission to Allah swt is 'To do what He tells you to do.' You submit even if you do not understand.

Establish the 'amal because you love Allah swt. Rasul (saw) taught us tauhid and 'amal from Madinah alMunawwara. The 10,000 people of Madinah was a proof of Allah's mercy.
Establishment of mu'amalat is not limited by our means. Allah gives the means.

Our dzikr is not the dzikr of dinar. Our dzikr is 'Allah'. It is not enough that we hate what is haram, our task is to establish the halal. Trust in Allah totally, bring the dinar and establish the mu'amalat wherever we are.

When we have attained success, we prostrate, istighfar and turn to taubah.
La ghaliba ilaAllah.

The Problem With Our Money

1. Is Pervasive Riba at all levels

2. Paper Currency all linked to US Dollar

3. False wealth system and transactions

4. The US and Europe created too much money and debts....trillions...

5. Ordinary people still believe it will work until its collapse ? Too late.

6. The Governments are accomplices with its Central banks and private banks to created and add enormous amount fiat /digital/free money into the economy.

7. Sooner or later, mankind had to go back to gold and silver as true money ! Read Hugo Salinas, Prof.Antal Fekete, Daryl Schoon, Eric Sprott...the bright kuffar also understood the issue !

To Change Things and Talk To Macma Students

To change things in society by the action of the limbs is limited, but everything starts from the heart. This is basic sufic teaching. It is the most powerful instrument in man. The heart can make reality near or far. Can make little things big or big obstacles become small or disappear. This is marifatullah. Knowledge bring changes. The heart bring certainty. It bring out actions. We are not dependent on our limbs, our strength but goes back to the dhikr of La haula wa la quwwata illa bi’Llah. Muslims when they obey the command of Allah become strong. Use of the dinar and dirham, then the US dollar will weaken. Trade the halal way, the amal of madinah the existential way, not the kuffar monopolistic ways. Maulana Rumi placed a big burden on man- he is the khalifa. To be khalifa means to realize the full potential of inner and outer dimension of man. Or fulfilling the shariat and illumination of the heart-haqiqat.

Modern man does not think. They react. He trapped himself as an observer. We muslim say that Allah is al-Haqq, the Truth. We cannot measure him by our existence. It is He measure us and give us the means to recognize Him. When we annihilate our attributes then we recognize His attributes. Now we live in a strange age of Islam where there is no khalifah or single Muslim ruler who really upholding the full authority of sharia. They do not bother. They accept the kuffar are strong. So we are weak and hapless to deal with them.

This is not true. Our teaching is the opposite. The moment we go forward to Allah, we are gaining strength. What hamper us are the illusions we created around us. We are murabitun because we go forward in this great matters of the deen. This is fi sabilillah.

Talk To Macma students

14 January 2002 Kuala Lumpur

Tonight I want to share with you parts of my experience in becoming a muslim. I am Spanish, a Basque a region north of spain. My family was staunchly catholic. Many of my relatives and uncles are Christian priests. In fact I was sent to a catholic school. The story begin in the university. I am a rebel. Oppose all the establishment things. A young atheist, free thinker and did not believe in anything. Christianity is superficial, has no value with me.

Unexpectedly one day I met a man in the library. We talked on many things. Economics, philosophy etc. this man is interesting. I don’t know at all he was a muslim. He invited me to have tea and dinner with him. In a moment he excused himself . Now only I know he going to take wudu and do the salat. Then he returned. After a few meetings, I discover he was praying at certain times, making this strange movements, standing, bowing, prostrating and reciting Quran. So I asked him, can I join you at prayer ? I do 2 rakaat of prayer without being a muslim or knowing what islam is. This is somewhere in 1981 or 1982.

Then there was university holiday, with a group of my friends, we went holiday in Tunis as young hippies or tourists. Suddenly I hear the azan-call of prayer from a mosque. It shot into my heart. I told my friends, excuse me , I want to pray with the muslims. They say are you crazy ? After the prayer,they surrounded me and looked at me – a foreigner in the mosque, what ? There almost a quarrel . I told the Imam, I was muslim and the they let me go.

Several weeks after that I became a muslim at my Shaykh presence. After that I entered another phase of my life which is beyond my expectations. This is for another lecture. We thanks Allah for the gift of Islam. We ask Allah to give you strong iman, guidance and knowledge.

The Fuqara Must Ask For Change- By Shaykh Abdal Qadir as-Sufi

The du'a of the Muslim is, "O Allah, keep me in change." Keep me always changing because everything is changing and every day Allah is on a new creation.

You must be renewing and renewing yourself. You have to always be in change. You must remember that the company of the fuqara is the highest company. You must keep each other company. You must travel to other places where there are fuqara. You must sit with the fuqara in every place. You must be an example to them and take example from them when you meet people of quality. Seek the people of knowledge, seek the people of love of Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, and the people of love of Rasul, sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam. To take the adab of the great ones you have to sit with them, you have to sit with the people of knowledge. It is by your company that you are purified.

Tasawwuf is keeping company, then tasawwuf is listening, then tasawwuf is acting upon what you hear. There is only one enemy and that is your self. The nafs has nothing good in it. The worst of all things to the Sufis is the recognition of their own good qualities over and against that of other people – it is what sets them back and smashes them on the rocks of destiny. You must not look at your good qualities. You must consider them something that in themselves have been spoiled even by your being conscious of them. You do not look at your self.

You do not find fault with others, you find fault with your self.

You must look at your self and say, "What is wrong with it?" Harith al-Muhasibi went over his day, then went over his hours and then went over his minutes, then went over his breath until he had verified that it was pleasing to Allah, that it was acceptable to Allah. Two great `ulama met in Baghdad and they argued and fought with each other. At the end one of them said, "Let us meet tomorrow and discuss this matter further and the other one said, "No, let us meet tomorrow and make peace and forget all about it."

This is the way of the Sufis – to begin again.

You must not be limited in your forgiveness of the faults of others but you must not have any measurement of any attention to yourself. Any consciousness of your self you must turn from. You must turn away from the nafs and the method of turning away from the nafs is not a psychological method, it is dhikrullah. (Surat ar-Ra'd, 28 ) "Only in the dhikr of Allah can the heart find peace." You must do dhikr of Allah. You must remember Allah standing, sitting and reclining on your side. You must call upon Allah. You cannot afford to be out of the company of the people who love Allah for any amount of time in this age that we live in. You must be with the people who love Allah, you need them. You need the people of Allah because they will remind you of Allah. You need the people of knowledge because you have to be strong in your Deen and you have to be correct in your Deen in an age where every mosque has a different way of going into sajda, let alone the higher things of the Deen.

You must speak well of people and have a good opinion of people. You must become people of futuwwa, you must become these people who are spoken of because of the high aspiration, the high himma you have which is on a universal scale that when you go to the Ka'ba, with all the troubles that are there, you must lookfor the people of Allah there and sit with them. Beware of the people of dunya. Beware of the people of dunya until you are safe, and when you are safe it does not matter where you go. If you are not safe then you must be careful. You must have taqwa and you must have wara'. You must take care, take care, watch, until you are on Sirat al-Mustaqim because when things go wrong you have to remember that all you have got is then to turn to Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala.

Remember, even tawba is nothing to do with you – it is because Allah has decreed for you tawba because He wants you, so even that is not yours, it is not your good achievement.

Your asking forgiveness is not your good achievement, it is simply Allah claiming you and you recognising that He has claimed you. You belong to Allah. You have come from Allah and you are going to Allah. This is what you have to tell yourself. You must not be hypnotised by dunya.

Remember that Rasul, sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam, indicated that the small coin of the poor person is as dangerous as the gold of the rich, so you must be generous. To be generous is to follow the way of Rasul, sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam. You must be generous, you must have a good opinion of other people, you must not say bad things about other people and if you do say them you must go back and clean it out and you must ask their forgiveness. If someone is totally against you and totally in the wrong then you have to forgive them and you have to forget it and you have to go back and put things right. This is how the Deen has always been. This is how these great men have lived in the past.

O Allah,
Grant me compassion from You,
reestablishing harmony in my disorder
perfecting where I am lacking,

rectifying where I am deviating
restraining me when I am astray
and guiding me when I am perplexed.
